WIELKA BRYTANIA.

CHESTER CATHEDRAL, CHESHIRE, exterior from north east.
 This is the finest view of the Cathedral and shows the Choir, Central Tower, Chapter House, and the east end of the Refectory.

CHESTER CATHEDRAL, CHESHIRE, Cathedral from Garden of remembrance.
 The Garden is the Cheshire Regimental War Memorial for World War /1939 - 45/ and was laid out in 1952. The turrets on the Tower, the "candle-snuffers" at the east end of the Choir, the parapets and flying buttresses, were all added to the Cathedral by Sir George Gilbert Scott R.A. /1811-1878/ during the period of his restoration work from 1868 to 1876.
